EMQ FamiliesFirst's staff of highly qualified child and adolescent psychiatrists specializes in treating children and adolescents with serious emotional disorders and their families. As members of the treatment team, our psychiatrists perform evaluations and prescribe medication.

Through pro-active, timely, multi-disciplinary treatment planning, which includes the child and parents or guardians, a child and family team works to provide structure, build linkages in families, involve the extended family in therapy, and always view children, adolescents and families within the context of the ethnic and cultural history. We continuously strive to build trusting relationships with families from various cultures and work collaboratively and creatively with key community systems and fellow providers.
